When my trust Sony Minidisc recorder vanished after a show, I picked up one of these:

A Zoom H2 recorder, does line in or uses it's own mics to record. Gets good reviews. Would be good to record rehearsal, record a show, plug into the board, record interviews, sketch songs on, use as a portable music player, etc. etc. etc.

I never used it, though; the Minidisc turned up two weeks later. Now that we have the multitrack board, it's of even less use to me. It's in the box with everything it came with.

Make me an offer, trade me something, I've been wanting to pick up a Holy Grail Plus for my emergency rig, so if you have one of those ... etc. etc. etc.

What size card is in it, dude?

this would make a nice direct replacement for my recently deceased H2.... since I have no guitar gear of any value to trade, what's the cash price?

It has whatever it came with ... LOL ...

Asking $150 ... it's really new in the box.

These are excellent recorders. I have one and love it, except that I need #$%$!#$%$%%$!^^%^&%^%$& reading glasses for the LCD menu panel.

You can't find these around for less than $199.

I got rid of my Zoom just for the reason that I was going blind using it...It is a great little unit

However I got a Tascam DR-7 to take its place paid 150 new and it is way better and a lot more user friendly.....It has a good size screen and you don't have to keep scrolling thru different pages to do simple things

It record live in small venues most excellently

The flaw with the DR-7 in my mind is you have to buy a power adapter for it separately, or feed it AA batteries constantly. You would think they would allow it to power itself off the USB connector, so you could use an iPod charger to power it, but noooooo ... and it's a weird voltage one I couldn't find anywhere else, $29.99 from Tascam.

With my H2, once I found the level for a full band in my rehearsal space, I never changed it again. Even when just a couple of us are plying, it does fine. Now, all I do is power it up, hit the record button, then hit it a second time to start recording, and hit it once again when I want to stop. Then I dump the files into my PC and do any manipulation or eq or whatever there. Works well.
