Grateful Dead Music Forum

I want to extend an invitation to any of you that live in the NE Ohio area to come and see my band Dead Ahead this oct 15th or this oct 24th. all grateful dead and possibly a few ween tunes during intermission by me and the other guitarist. a rather odd setup we consist of:

Daniel(me) - acoustic lead guitar/rhythm vocals lead/harmony
Josh - acoustic lead guitar/rhythm vocals lead/harmony
Chip - stand up bass
Bill - keys lead vocals harmony

it actually sounds a lot better than you'd expect. drummer prospects drying out, we decided to plug in the acoustics( in our case we bought pickups and i play thru my hot rod deville) and have a go at it while were still auditioning drummers. we've played a few gigs, and a lot of the same folks come to see us again and again. in fact i cant keep enough posters up at the bar, people are coming in and taking them home. I do most of the jerry leads and solos, but the other guitar player, Josh, is also really good and we'll trade on and off to give everyone a chance. we'll be doing a lot of stuff from reckoning as well as classics like scarlet>fire, china>rider etc...no skimping on the jams here, we get as creative as possible within the ideas we want to convey.
