Earliest Mu Recording?

Does anyone have any idea when Jer's Mu first came into his rack? I was just listening to Springfield Civic Ctr, 06-30-74, Greatest Story and just thought (nearly out loud)... I wonder when the Mutron first became an integral effect in JG's rig. Incidentally, its use in this particular show is quite interesting... Strat tone, very twangy.

Jerry's Mutron didn't show up until 1977. In 74 he was using a Wah pedal.

Jerry started using the Mu-3 in mid- '76, so you must be hearing some creative use of a wah on 6/30/74.
There's a lot 76 I've yet to hear, but tmk he used in Down mode only (for Dancing In The Streets) for several months, until shortly after he got the fx loop on his guitar (Dec 76) when he started using it in the classic Up mode, for FOTM, Estimated, etc.

Hey now! DG. Thanks for the 411. Amazingly similar effect he achieved with the Wah. He must have worn
out too many "Jerry Shoes" so he switched the Mutron. : )
