When playing rhythm I use:
Em G G# A
|-----7---------7-------8------------9-----------
|-----8---------8-------9-----------10-----------
|-----9---------7-------8------------9-----------
|-----9---------9------10-----------11----------
|-----7--------10------11-----------12----------
|-----7---------7-------8-------------9---------- ...most of the time...but I'm sure there is at least 1 other way
*for some reason the chord names are not above the chord fingering, but the order is correct...and I don't feel like messing with it

I always play a quick G# in the walk-up.

hmmm. Well if you're gonna play the cord as an eighth(sixteenth?) note then I would recommend the same fingering as the G and the A. If you can do it any other way, I would love to see a video of that!!

I wouldn't play a whole chord there - just the root not. Or maybe the root with an octave or something. it's really just a transitionary note
