Several people have asked so I thought I would start a thread documenting the building of my Tiger (ETA 1/10). Not much so far but here we go...

It will be getting the full Tiger treatment with a couple of changes
1. 3- PF104's like rosebud
2. Headstock inlay will be red (stone), white (MOP) & blue (stone) lightning bolt inside a brass ring and the luthiers logo in MOP
3. Becote top and back instead of cocobola

Wow!!! Is that Purpleheart on top and bottom? Very cool. What are the woods you are using? Is this going to be a neck through or set neck?

It is purpleheart and maple and it will get one more layer of purple then top and bottom becote (another rosewood similar to cocobola). The neck will not be a true through but it is considered through in the way it will be set deep into the body.

Right now it is like a cinder block. The cavities aren't finished. the edges are still square and the body isn't yet contoured. When finished it will be every bit of 12#.
