I am going to see Phish on Friday at Jones Beach and am wondering how hip they are to staying in your car late night/overnight after the show. I dont want to risk driving after being a little crispy and public transportation to JB appears to be a hassel.
Any thoughts?

I'd say there's a 99.99% chance of you getting ousted from the lot by midnight.

I used to live on Long Island and from what I remember, they don't let you leave your car there. They tow.
Where are you coming from? I'd take the LIRR as close as possible and cab the rest of the way. Or rent a hotel room fairly close and cab it.

Be very discrete in the lot - the security guards take their jobs very seriously and don't look the other way very often.

No, I am going to the Friday night show. I think i am going to take the LIRR. I live in Hoboken,NJ, which isnt that far but a few miles in this part of the world might as well be the continental divide.

What he said. Very true. One thing, though. They don't make a lot of money, so if you are "bothered", they will often accept donations to the local security guard fund, not that I would ever advocate anything illegal, but it's worked for me in the past. Best practice is to avoid them all-together.
