Does anyone use an EQ in their rack?

I've realized that I love having an EQ at my disposal. Who uses an EQ in their rack and what are you using?

I have an Intersound parametric eq and a boss ge7 plus the Ibanez ue has a para eq I use them all the time sometimes even at the same time!

I forgot all about the Intersound PEQs.

How long did it take you to get over the learning curve of a PEQ vs. GEQ? I am so used to GEQ's that I don't even want to consider a PEQ. It may sound stupid but a PEQ makes so much sense and I can dedicate my mind to the PEQ for just a minute. However, on stage my dedication can't be there and I can breeze right through a GEQ on auto-pilot.

Well for me the boss GE7 is almost always on, then the ue para is occasionally on and both are set and forget. The Intersound is an RV100 and really is my reverb for my Trio the para can be set to on, eq, or flat, then the knob section and I tweak this depending on if its a weir tone or a jerry tone. off when its jerry tune and on for weir. This can change if were going for a specific era more eq for earlier less for later is my general rule but it all can change. Its fairly simple to operate I usually only change it during the pre song tune up.

I use a ibanez pq-401. I love it. I goose my distortion, delay and phaser w/ it. I use it on it's own for a bolder lead tone. I think the first pedal every guitarist should have is an EQ, Parametric or graphic. Great tool that is often times overlooked for more splashy fx. ~MJH

Absolutely love my EQ pedal....IMO this pedal is more integral to honing the sound you want than almost anything else. It can totally retailor the sound that you're getting naturally out of your amp if your amp puts out too much/not enough of certain frequency ranges. For example some amps are way too bassy/muddy or too tinny, etc. EQ is the first pedal I bought and the only one I use ALL the time.
