Fender Cyber Amps?

Has anyone used any of these amps and if so how did you like them?
It appears to me the Champ and Deluxe are just glorified versions of the DSP line but The Cyber Twin actually has a tube pre and digitally rearranges the circuit flow in order to emulate the original Vintage Fender Amps.
Right now my choices are a Princton DSP or a IVP Pre (old school Bobby/Phil) into a Crown 602 and on to a Behringer 4-12 cab ( 4-12 cab leaves much to be desired) I wanted to upgrade so I'm looking for info on the Cyber Twin

Wow! Cybertwin vs IVP>Crown.
All I will say as I don't want to disrespect anyone is that I had a Cybertwin and it sounded great in the studio at low volumes. At high volumes it was irritating at best. Whole playing with the band, aweful!
Good luck!

Well Thanks. The IVP/Crown will always be there for me.
I am only planning on using this or whatever I decide on, inside a small project studio.
I have several pre's but I just love the fender sound. I am of the understanding that out of the box the cyber twin
is not so great or should I say the presets but some info I received is they are tweekable.
I appreciate the input.

Very cool. Well go with what you like! But you know, you could get a silverface twin or super reverb on ebay or craigslist for about $800, maybe less. Point to point amp!
Peace,

I had a Cyber Twin, the first model, for about 6 months. While owning up to not being the most technologically savvy guy going, I never liked it all that much and eventually sold it. I second that at higher volumes, it sounded awful, and really wasn't capable of cutting through a band at all. I also found it somewhat difficult to use, but again, I am not Mr. Wizard to be sure.
I personally find the Vox Valvetronix amp line to be much more usable than the Fender Cyber line of amps - plus I think they flat out sound way better. Just my two cents, but if I was to do it all over again ( and I did ), I'd go with a real tube amp and use pedals or something along the line of a Vox ToneLab for the rest.

My Cyber Twin head has been mothballed to a backup amp. Get a 100% tube amp for all the reasons stated above...

Thanks, I will keep an eye out for a all tube amp.
