My dad's got one. They're sweet. I've been saving for one myself. I think there's another thread about them here somewhere.

WEIRd, look right above it. Isn't that a Mesa preamp? Why the preamp if he's using a Savage Tube Amp head?

The silver unit is a Avalon pre usually for his acoustic.

Is that from Horton Hears a Who? Or some sort of Seuss... and what are you doing up at 5:30 in the morning?

From bottom to top:

- Savage (power amp only???)
- Avalon VT-747sp - definitely used with his electric guitars. http://www.avalondesign.com/images/747sp-I.jpg
- (2) wireless receivers
- unknown (4x8 knob structure, mixing panel??)
- TC Electronics G-Force
- Furman power conditioner

Pretty straightforward rig - sounds great with the 335 & blue Modulus! He's been playing his pink Modulus which should be tossed!

Looking at a pic Dozin took of the back of Weir's Ratdog rig from 1/2 years ago, there are several XLR cables plugged in the Avalon. I'm guessing he's using a low-z signal.

Quite possible.

Thanks,
Jeff
I have a follow-up email to him asking if he is using the preamp or not.

Per Jeff at Savage: Yes, they are the power amp section (including a driver section) of the Glas 30 Amplifier. No pre-amp and a bit beefed up.

so...the only unknown is the 3rd unit down. It looks like 16 columns x 4 rows of knobs, 8 columns left & right of center. Mixer?

I think that unit might be a Dikfur.
