BOSTON — The Green Monster is getting scaly.

Phish announced a May 31 concert at Fenway Park [map] today, one of a handful of shows the Vermont-based jamband added to its summer tour.

The home of the Boston Red Sox [team stats] has only recently been used as a concert venue, first by Bruce Springsteen in 2003. Jimmy Buffett, the Rolling Stones and the Police followed suit at the world’s oldest baseball park.

The Phish foursome reunited last month in Hampton, Va., after nearly five years off.

Well at least Fenway holds a lot more folks than Hampton and given there's a whole tour to follow, tickets might not be as hard to get, though I'm sure it will sell out fast anyhow.
They're prolly only charging 50 for a seat and it's a Sunday night after Memorial day weekend.

Maybe they'll all dress up in some goofy Green Monster outfit while jumping on trampolines. Christ. I can't stand Phish but if someone gave me a ticket I'd check 'em out. I'm certainly more intersted in seeing them these days than the Dead.
