New Jersey, YES New Jersey could be the next state to pass a compassionate use medical marijuana law. The state senate votes today. The Govener has already said that he supports this bill.

A California state congressman from San Francisco is going to introduce leg. to legalize the sale of herb and impose a $50 tax per Ounce. I doubt the Arnold will sign it into law, who knows!

Isn't it really silly to have states spending tax dollars on mj "legalization" when the feds still have it illegal and the constitution clearly says federal law trumps state law?

Personally, I'm in favor of all drugs being legal as well as prostitution and gambling and gun ownership. Seems everyone already does these things irrespective of legality so why waste time and go against the will of the people?

The problem which you state with "FEDS SUCK | STATE RIGHTS" is a result of an overbloated federal gov't. If it wasn't allowed to be grown and expanded then states would have more rights.

Gambling is only legal in some states under heavily corrupted rules.
Guns laws are also very odd and vary state to state but additionally governed by the Feds.

Sorry to interject my opinions here. My point was supposed to be uncorrupted by my opinions but wasn't. Take 2:
Take this fight to the national level so states and feds won't be at odds cuz when they are citizens lose! Look at the narcs who busted folks in Cali.

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

That is the text. But what is the application? What are the other amendments? What are the federal laws?

While on the surface you are correct. And say it was 1800 you'd be 100% correct but that is not how the federal government works. It has created enough loopholes to have federal laws. However, federalist and constiutionalist and the likes of Ron Paul all agree with you. In fact, I do too! But that is not the way the feds works. And instead of sitting around crying how it should work I'd rather play by the precedence and work the system for what I want since changing it will not happen any time soon.
