I was just surfing the web at work and came across Edie Brickells Cd Ultimate Collection and i see Jerry Garcia is credited on the Cd for playing guitar so it got me thinking is it Jerry who plays the Mutron solo on what i am? Does anyone out there know. I also read in a Rolling Stone Interview From 93' they were planning on touring together doing a complete line of shows that were all improv. No Music written and no lyrics even considering taking suggestions from the audience. To bad Jerry Checked out sounded like he had some cool idea's in mind for the future. Thought it was interesting

Wasn't Garcia giving Edie the old Franklin's Tower there for a while. Thought it was Page 6 material back in the early 90's.

They did a song together on Trios, a CD by Rob Wasserman where he put himself with two other folks and they performed a song. I think it was called Zillionaire and if I'm not mistaken Jer played piano on the song. I had the cd for awhile, and even tho both Jer and my other fave, Lou Reed were on it, it wasn't very good, at least not my cup 'o tea.

Yes, Garcia & Grisman did in fact do a song called "Zillionaire" with her. I have the tune on cd. From what I heard Deborah Cunts (uhumm, I mean Koonz), was jealous of Edie and wouldn't let the tour with her and Jer go down. As far as I know her and Paul Simon are still together raising a family. I loved Edie's band and saw them a couple times, once opening for our boys in '90.

No, but it seems like it, eh? She put out a solo album a few years back, and her and the Bohemians did a new cd a couple yrs. ago. No I dea if they toured for it.
