Been watchin this one religiously lately and decided to share it with you guys (if you havent seen it already). The final jam is righteous. Love when he does that one big run then you really see him get into it and of course the crowd goes nuts. Also the clunker of an F for the end is amusing. All this comin from someone who usually doesnt care for the later years of the Dead (though I love JGB's later years)

i love that show! geez, i guess i haven't listened to it in a while - surprised i didn't recognize it. that was one of best friends first show. he often raves about that nite. doesn't it have a great bird song and terrapin too?

Yeah thats a great bird song. As for Terrapin I like his old man singing in it but instrumentally I like the early ones

Doesn't he absolutely nail the lead up to and the "Inspiration, move me brightly" part!!?? (which he often flubs or flounders on). this part makes this version for me and often the song, in general.

That's really good, it has a lot of great little riffs in btween verses too.

P.S. Blob where in Jersey are you located? I was born in Dover, in northern NJ.

Im in South River now. Just moved from South Plainfield. Lived there my whole life. I have a friend up in Dover.

The runs that he does between 06:34 and 06:54 of the clip are really nice. For those who know music better than me, are these chromatic scales? If not, musically, what is he doing here?

A little tough to tell but yeah Im guessin he's using D mixolydian with an added flat third(F) and flat sixth(Bb). Correct me if im wrong anyone

That's the night that the bus came by and I got on!!!!!!!!!!! First show, junior in H.S., I believe it was a weekday, mega- dosed....... Seeing that Dew, no wonder I've been hooked ever since~!

One of the few shows on my B-day - the 19th.
It was a long show and the Dew was after midnite ....
I like the "Old man " voice and the whole deal.
