It's obvious from the interview Dick was tortured by a few of the insiders. Still, a great interview. Without Dick, who knows what may have become of the Vault.
Here's another one (audio only):

Pretty interesting interview.
DDD, I have to ask how you know Dick Solberg?
he was a regular solo performer in the USVI. Saw him a few times in St Thomas and he had/has regular weekly gigs there playing little bars. I'm guessing you have an album or CD he's put out. As far as I ever knew, he was/is a local on St Thomas and played little gigs for his living.

Mt,
A buddy from college (SUNY Albany) played with Dick for a few years and wound up dropping out when they went to St. Thomas in the winter/spring of 1985-86. I saw Dick a ton in the mid-80s in and around Albany and whenever he passed through NYC (he lives in the Hudson Valley). I have not seen him in a long time, but always liked his infamous set closing shout "Ain't It Great To Be Alive!". A lot more inspiring than Bobby's "We'll be back in just a little bit."

DDD--small world eh.
He's a blast to see down there in the balmy weather and all, nice cold one in hand...
My guess is he really likes it there cause he's been there a long time.
If you're a decent singer/songwriter, there's a lot of work to be had in the VI.
Lots of fun there too.
