We have the JGB in town tomorrow night.
I'll be headed down there after work (I work till 8pm)... their site says "early door (8pm), no opener (music at 9pm).

Anybody seen 'em latley?

I haven't seem them. Is Stu Allen playing with them? He is a tremendous player, with a good Garcia-like voice. Have fun!!!!

Pete, would love to catch this but kinda unlikely as I have a lot going on this week. I'm sitting in with an original band Paige Crater & The Orbiters at Slim's in St. John's, Fri night. You will have an awesome time.

'Stayed to the very end, even.
Lots of very long jams and solos.
The girls were sounding really great (Kudos to the Soundman).
Great playing by all.
Lots of good guitar playing. SG through a Fender Custom 15 with a string of Boss pedals including a T-Wha and OC-2. Not sure now what he used for Phase, it didn't sound as thick and meaty as Jerry's phase-solo-tone, but not very far off the mark. I scored Stu really high for his fast Jerry strumming/fanning. He is a strong singer and player overall, and sang most of the songs.
Russian Lullaby was really good. They also played like 4 songs I've never heard before, that were good jams.
We had a good view of Melvins hand-y work on Keys. Very Cool.
A really good drummer who mostly played long expances of very steady drumming. He never once hit the snare too hard (a key scoring parameter for me).
I'll submitt Stu's Jerry-Guy score-card with reccomended fines & penalties to Melvin through the on-line scoring tool.
Just kidding of course... Nice Job!!!

Nope.
The oppurtunity did not present itself this time.
I did however ask Melvin for an application for the next Jerry Guy opening.
