For the money, I thinks it's the best pedal out there. I've had mine for over a year now and am very happy with it.

I've not used the Plus, Chris, but I have a regular Holy Grail. It's a bit hissy, some of them are much more hissy than others, took a few returns till I got one I could live with. The reverb itself is pretty decent simulation of a real spring reverb. (I keep mine around as a backup to the Real Tube Reverb.) But I would caution you to listen to a few in the store before you buy one.

I noticed on Harmony Central that the new ones are getting pretty good reviews.
Vic, they say the old one's can't touch this one.

I know the Holy, the Holier, and the Holiest (which is a wildly tweakable and fun effect) but not the Holy Plus.

The "jerry" in my band Shakedown just got the "plus" a few weeks ago and It is REALLY nice sounding. It blows the regular Holy Grail out of the water.
He has one of those Fender Custom Shop Dual Professional amps and it was real hard for him to dial in the Reverb sound he wanted. The reverb in the dual professional is supposedly one of the best, but you need a PHD to dial it is, it has so many settings (3 knobs: Dwell, Mix, and tone). It was next to impossible to get a consistent good sound out of it for him.
He just said screw it and went the Holy Grail Plus route, and I gotta say it sounds tremendous. All the noise issue of the original seem to be taken care of in the Plus. He use the spring setting obviously and it sounds great.

There is another new Reverb pedal out that you might checkout side-by-side...
The Digitech RV-7, which is a Lexicon Reverb product in a stomp-box.

Woo Hoo! this is a great pedal!! It reminds me a lot of my Furman RV-1 but so much easier to use. Not that the Furman was hard to dial in or anything. I like that it's super clean and the Spring Reverb setting is great. I put it in my UE-700's effects loop and I didn't even notice it was on which was nice. It doesn't suck the tone at all. The new Holy Grail Plus is a winner.
