Hey all,
Just watched a new DVD of Traffic in Santa Monica. I forget what year it was done (I'm thinking '74?) but it was great. The show was short and the video wasn't the best but the song list and performance was excellent if you're a Traffic fan. John Barleycorn was one of my favorite albums and watching them do Glad and Freedom Rider and the title track was stunning. Also, they do a great version of Light Up or Leave Me Alone, with a cooking jam in the middle. These, along with Low Spark, Rainmaker and Fantasy make it worthwhile to watch. Winwood is almost unrecognizable and hippied-out and watching him go from guitar to piano is unreal. Also, the sax/flute playing is such a nice addition to a rock band. I rented the DVD, but I might purchase a copy if it's fairly inexpensive. So, if you're a fan, check it out!

Capaldi is there, but not Grech. Here's the line-up:
Steve Winwood on lead vocals, guitar, organ and piano; Chris Wood sax and flute; Rebop Kwaku Baah conga; Jim Capaldi lead and harmony vocals, maracas and tambourine. New additions for the tour were drummer Roger Hawkins and bassist David Hood, members of the studio band at the famed Muscle Shoals recording studio.
