Hi guys,

I tried a search, but didn't find anything. I don't recall seeing this during the time of the GD, but these days, Phil appears to be using an electronic device of some kind on a stand much like a music stand. All black.

Is this some kind of electronic display of changes and lyrics, or what? Sometimes he seems to have this thing, and other times what appears to be a regular music stand.

I don't know if this will show up here, since it is on Phil's site, but here it is:

I have one. It's a Music Pad Pro or The Free Hand system. http://www.freehandsystems.com I have all my music loaded in it. You can load setlist in it and flip the pages with a foot pedal. It's really a cool device. A little pricey. It also takes a little tweaking before you figure out how to load the pages in clear. The only problem I have with it is I've become lazy with it, almost dependent on it. It's there though if you need those lyrics or chords.

Oh man so that's what the hell those things are I've been noticing them in photo's of Bobby and Phil lately too. What a cool idea, and Dozin good song to have the lyrics standing by for....lots of words in that one!

It certainly wouldn't be very hard to stick an LCD monitor on a stand to get something that would work. I like the form factor of the MusicPad, though.

But hey, I just invested another $6.83 yesterday on a thicker 3-ring binder to replace my old one, and will be transferring my sheets into it later. You can't just walk away from an investment like that.
