Miking a guitar amp - mic choice?

What is the conventional wisdom here about mic choice for when your amp needs to be put through the PA?

they are decently priced too, like $99 I believe. Also, if the SM58 is great for vocals, if you havent heard already

Thanks, guys. I'm don't anticipate being in any need to mic my rig any time soon, but I like to be prepared. My old Audio Technica Pro 4L doesn't suck, but it has had a hard life, so may be ready for the spares box...
