How 'bout sometime you do a vid on those pre-bend and release bends Jerry is fond of ? Like in Cumberland ? The E 72 version.
An exercise maybe ?
I watched some of the Cumberland vid and I'm gonna try some of the stuff tonight at home.

hmmm...an interesting request. I have the other parts prepared, which I'll probably edit and post first.

the bends take a lot of touch and intuition, not to mention sheer volume. lemme see what i can do (might have to work on it when the wife isn't home).

yea that sorta works - though the turn is the key

It's the difference between the meat of the jam which I play D Dorian and the changeover back to D Mixolydian - the only difference being the F note in D Dorian and the F# in D Mixolydian.

Tonally I stick to stuff voicing the F (chord wise and lead wise - thus dorian) for most of the jam and into the first half of the above lick and then the tonal shift to the F# marks the return to the major mixolydian.

I've never bothered with bobby's part of this lick though it'd be cool if someone chimed in.
