I sat in with the Deadstein cats this week for their rather smoke induced jam. Lots of fun. Great people. They have this book that they work from so every tune is fair game. If you show up to play with them there's no saying "I don't know that one". They have a "We all learn it together" approach, which can be pretty interesting.

Anyway, here's Waiting For A Miracle, warts, botched bridge and all. I'd never played it so I'm literally reading from the book as we went. I'm going to start doing it with my band now after playing it with them....

Pretty wild. There's tons of flubs, etc so I apologize in advance. I really can blame it on the amount of green that has to be partaken with to even get in the room and plug in a guitar.

The studio is called Carroll Music http://www.carrollmusic.com/. It's pretty famous in NYC for the size of it's rooms. That one is cavernous. It's an amazing rehearsal studio with an A list of clients. The amp room is just out of this world. They have original Twin Reverbs that they bought in 1966. It's a very cool spot. You go out to the lobby to get some soda or water and there's David Byrne and Herbie Hancock eating microwave popcorn....
