It the only compressor i've ever used. (And I don't use it all that often, only when playing tele or acoustic/eletric really) Overall I'd say that I'm satisfied but it can be noisy at times. Compared to some that I've heard, its alot 'smoother', some compressors give the sound a real bite/hard edge. I'm in no real rush to replace it, unless I find an EH blackfinger at the right price.

The sustian feature is pretty cool though, really notice a difference with that turned all the way up

$50 is pretty good price for it.

I used one and almost bought it until I found the Behringer compressor for only $20 brand new and found it's exactly the same in every way except it comes in a plastic case as opposed to the metal one. Since I'm not too hard on it (I keep it on the whole time, so I'm not stomping it on/off) it has lasted me and was a way better deal. Just FYI.

I use the Ibanez CP9. it's awesome along with a BBE Boosta Grande.

btw: the Boosta Grande will blow away any TS9 moded or not

Here's a soundbite of just a compressor and Boosta Grande. I think it really gives a sweet chime sound. http://205.178.152.121/1146060/band.wma
I'm just screwing around so don't knock me for my playing

I used to own one until I plugged the wrong adapter into it (24v for Porta Studio)...the LED got real bright then a delicate wisp of smoke followed by the scent of what burnt spiders smell like under a magnifying glass...

anyway, I liked it, when turned on it acted like a volume boost with more sustain, I used for leads back in my "metal" years....

I've really recently been considering a CS pedal, but don't know enough about them. If I want to get a little more punch with a CLEAN tone, will this help? Or is it mostly effective w/ my distortion pedal?
