Hey Now!
I am going to check out this guitar Saturday in hopes of buying it. Asking price is $250. Has anyone played this type of guitar? If so, what was your experience with it? Any feedback would be greatfully appreciated.
The sellers description might help: Black with Cream binding. In good shape, barely any wear and tear. Recently picked up a strat.
Thanks!

I had an Epiphone LesPaul for about a year and really loved it. Played and sounded great. If he wants $250 and its in good shape thats a good deal.

I've had one for about 2 years and also love it. I eventually swapped out the pickups for seymour duncans-SH2/SH4 combo and loved it even more after that.

Yes I have played one and they are nice. My brother also picked up a used one in very good condition last week from a guy on craiglist. I played it for a while and the neck felt really nice and the tone was very nice. He has a cheap solid state amp and he is bringing it over here to play on my amp on Sunday.
I dont know how good they would be to gig with but for the money well worth it.
I just got into the guitar selling business as sideline and I got a Epiphone Les Paul Standard Plus with a cherryburst flame top. It is a Lefty so I couldnt really play it too much. I tried but it wasnt pretty! But I'll tell you the quality of it is really nice for a guitar under $500! Very well made.

To me they are one of the better sounding cheap guitars. If I were you I would be patient and look for one that somebody has all ready swapped out the pups and also upgraded tuners.
