Sad day for music lovers. This man was so incredibly talented. Despite what people might think about DMB, this guy was the real deal. Only 46 years old too. It's a shame.

i heard about this last night at ratdog/allman bros, really sad. he was a great sax player and at dmb's spac show this summer he blew me away (along with tim renolds of course)

One of the sadest things to happen in a long time in my opinion. Except last night i git a DWI which sucks.

I was at The Staples Center last night. Very sad night indeed...
Rumor has it he was told by the Docs in Charletville not to fly. He has a second home here in LA and wanted to do his rehabilitation for his punchured lung here. Also, since he band mates were in town he was going to surprise them back stage. He took off on a plane Tue morning and landed in LA. Due to the pressure and elevation it really messed him up. He got off the plane and was rushed to the emergency room....
