If you look at the top left of the page it reads "NEWSGROPER: THESE BLOGS ARE NOT REAL". I don't dig John Mayer really at all so I'm not necessarily defending his weird face-making ass. Just sayin'.

I like John Mayer's tunes. He seems like he'd be a dickhead as a person, but I'm not one to judge. I think his songs (for the most part) are pretty well-crafted and he's got an interesting voice and he's a pretty dang good guitarist.

Don't believe everything you read. AND, if you really feel like what you read is true, but you need to check, go to www.snopes.com - great site to disspell a lot of BS.

That John Mayer entry about Phish fans was pretty unoriginal, but I browsed the site a bit and some of the entries are pretty damn funny.

Funny, it was some pissed of person that didn't know how to get to the Phil Zone....all you have to do is say PHILLL.

I found the ¨blog¨ be kinda funny and the site has some funny shit. Not a fan of Mayer myself but whatever.

Hey caspersvapors, do you think those blogs are real? I think they are.

I don't care if this guy could one day outplay Hendrix (Though, it ain't gonna happen). I can't stand the dude and will never buy anything by him. He's always annoyed the shit out of me.

And yes, I understand that Blog wasn't real.

And don't ask me to logically explain why. It's the same reason I don't care for Ben Affleck, Josh Hartnett, Ashton Kutcher, or movies with the cast from "Friends". I'm not saying all of them are talentless hacks, but something just screams, "TOOL!"

Mayers' extended "white people/black people/hispanic people" sketch on "The Chapelle Show" is utterly hysterical.

He also shreds guitar with the best of them, check out the Clapton Crossroads Festival 2007 video.

I'm no fan of his radio hits, but I have some recordings of him doing some Hendrix tunes and others and he can flat out tear up the guitar when he wants to. His John Mayer Trio from a few years back, when it seemed like he was going to make some "real" music, was pretty good from some of the shows I dl'ed. I guess he has chosen to "sell out" (if that's what you want to call it) and make big money rather than show his true musical talent. He doesn't seem like such a huge d-bag as some people say, as the video someone posted above shows he isn't afraid to make fun of himself. On top of that, the guy tends to date some pretty hot ladies ala Jessica Simpson (although she is no winner).

That video of him making fun of himself was great. HOWEVER, we are spending FAR too much time discussing John Mayer on a Deadhead site. I like Mayer - I think his "sellout" stuff (for the most part - there are a couple of duds I've heard) is still very good. 'Gravity' is a great song...nice progression, good groove. 'Waiting On The World To Change' - good stuff. The Clapton Crossroads appearance was pretty hot - he gets a tad out of control at the end of his solo, 'cause he's trying to show off in front of the collection of masters there (Clapton, BB King, Jeff Beck, Albert Lee, et al), but it's pretty hot.
