I sent a PM but it is sitting in my Out Box, not my Sent Box. Is that normal? Shouldn't it automatically get sent and then move to my Sent Box? Do I just have to wait? It has been almost two days. Thanks.

I could be wrong but methinks it stays in your outbox until its opened/viewed by the recipient. Then it goes to the sent box.
