Have you guys ever watched these videos? Theres like 13 of them. They are really fucked up. I don't know if i believe them, but hey are fun to think about. Just seeing what you guys think. Check some of them out.

I watched the part13 video, the one that comes on automatically, and thought it was a complete waste.

Besides that the movie has no coherent message, here's some specific problems:

musical frequencies make no sense (lacks units, does not work if you assume hz because frequency cant more than double within one octave)
google shows no results for "yah's musical scale"

mandlebrot set exists, and is indeed self similar, but it by no means proves some far out generalization about the universe

the part with the guy talking about DNA makes no sense

the berkely chemistry professor they name does not exist
http://chem.berkeley.edu/people/people_faculty.html

many of the websites listed at the end are unrelated. Admiralty law?

www.gregbraden.com looks like a similar crock of shit

Well thanks for summing it up for me. I pretty much new it was a crock of shit, I just needed someone to clear it up. Thanks

Spacehead333 -

Rev Roach's reply is a quick rant and does not confirm anything. If you think the movie is absurd, how about this:

"Besides that the movie has no coherent message, here's some specific problems:"

No offense, but this is coming from someone who watched 1/13th of the movie! No wonder it has no coherent message!

"musical frequencies make no sense (lacks units, does not work if you assume hz because frequency cant more than double within one octave)"

- Musical frequencies make no sense? Music is based on frequencies, and they make perfect sense. This is where Do Re Mi etc came from. Musical 5ths are part of ancient geometry. 'Does not work if you assume hz" - what does not work? The movie is referring to specific frequencies mirroring naturally occurring frequencies in the biological system, the macroscopic world and the cosmos. Any mathematician knows that the octave frequencies double, but what of it? The movie does not say otherwise - this comment is pointless.

"google shows no results for "yah's musical scale"

There you have it. Its not in Google. It must not exist. Conversely, using this logic, I guess anything that IS in google is true. Yah's musical scale is based on geometry and is a mathematical representation of the ancient solfeggio frequencies. When you learn about these frequencies, you will understand what they are talking about in that portion of part 13. "Solfreggio Frequencies" - Google that!

"mandlebrot set exists, and is indeed self similar, but it by no means proves some far out generalization about the universe "

Mandlebrot is a metaphor. It by no means proves some far out generalization about the universe, and this posters comments by no means disproves anything with his flagrant use of generalizations!

"the part with the guy talking about DNA makes no sense "

This part doesn't make sense to a lot of people. That's why people read books. Just because this guy doesn't make sense to the poster makes it in no way untrue and reflects a severe ego issue. Apparently the fact that this "doesn't make sense" to the poster is grounds to include it on his "here are some specific problems" list.

Personally, carbon 14 radiography dating makes no sense to me, therefore it has no coherent message, is a complete waste and is a specific problem. Ridiculous.

"many of the websites listed at the end are unrelated. Admiralty law? "

Unrelated to what? The 13th part of the movie? I find that a over 90% of most bibliographies I read are unrelated - when I only read one chapter of the book. Nonsense.

Saykally does not exist?????? Is this guy kidding me. In the world of economy this is like saying the Euro does not exist. Just another example of flash and burn posting of ignorance. It didn't take me long to find this in Google....

Research scientists [ Nikola Tesla,Rife, Kaznachayev and Ron Saykally et al reviewed by Dr. Horowitz ] discovered that nearly 93% of the function of the double helix of the human DNA is bioacoustic frequency signalling for " photon/phonon emissions for intra-and intercellular communications ". These photon/phonon radiations are concomitants of the electromagnetic spectrum of energy resonating with the bioelectric and acoustic properties and functions of cells.

"gregbraden looks like a similar crock of shit"

Agreed. This page is crap. If you want to read Gregg's real page however, you'd have to type in the proper url. "greggbraden" with two g's.

The point I'm making is this. If this video interested you, its important to pursue it. The references he makes in part 13 are probably the most important of all because he is referring to the monumental discoveries taking place right now in Quantum Physics. Besides photon and phonon emission, nonlocality, tangled hierarchies, and probability clouds, we now know that memory in the brain works much the same way as the mandelbrot fractal - even one small piece can hold all the memories of the brain, which is why mandelbrot is referenced here. The idea that science is not a part of consciousness or spirituality is now being shown to be a gross misunderstanding. Many scientists are debating whether or not to throw out Newtonian principles such as electrons as a particle and even gravity itself as we know it. Huge changes are taking place that are affecting psychology, physics, biology and spirituality.

Do your own reading and watching and try not to rely on the opinions of others. There is much to learn. I recommend starting here:

Jed_Fleury, did you come onto this board to fight and defend your videos or are you a DeadHead and musician and what else will you contribute?

I'm guessing you'll either ignore me, post and avoid my questions or justify the significance in defending your work...

I am a musician and a Deadhead and I usually keep a pretty low key peaceful attitude - if you would like to delete the post that is OK with me and I apologize if it offended. My opinion still stands that the reply is truly an example of ignorance interfering with the original posters important question of music and spirituality.

I did not come here to fight or defend the video. And the video is certainly not mine. I read this post while doing unrelated research, and what got me riled up was the fact that this kid was asking about a video that references spirituality and the healing properties of music and the replying post gave an opinion (which is good and is entitled) but then made comments to suggest that the opinion was based on fact, which it quite obviously was not.

Again I meant no disrespect. It is not my video, I am simply a musician from Canada.

Then why exactly did you create a log on and post?

Even your explanation is insulting. You defend your
right to have an opinion but called somebody else's
opinion "an example of ignorance interfering ".

I don't buy the fact you happened to just find us.

And for being a Head and musician you only care about
this one thread. I don't buy those facts either...

Whats the beef ?
I thought he expressed his views intelligently and politely.
The O.P asked for peoples opinions and he got them.

SS - I'm gonna agree w/ TJedi...

He did call the replier ignorant to some degree, but that reply WAS kinda ignorant. No allowing for the possibility of truth.

I, personally, believe a great portion of the stuff mentioned in the videos..

My beef is simple, somebody comes on this board to fight over and pontificate about one-off topics. That's a cancer to many boards and something that I may be a bit sensitive about for the future of this board.

TJ - first posts being negative and condescending are uncalled for. Do walk into somebody's house and critique their decor? Just cuz it's done with some tact doesn't make it any less inappropriate

Pappy - he asked for opinions and he got an opinion. Rev_Roach critiqued a video this dude critiqued a member her. Very different, IMO.

I'll be the first to step up and apologize if this guy becomes an active member of this community.

hey jed (not jedi). thanks for joining the board to post on this very important thread. unfortunately your personal attacks have exacerbated by severe ego issue.

you misconstrued every one of my points and are probably well aware that you did.

While I'll pick on a few specifics, the main problem with this movie is that it makes outrageous claims in the most matter of fact way without any means of verification. For example, it mentions priests levitating large stones obliquely, as if it were a proven fact. Many other phrases seem absurd, such as "buried for 3000 years in the bible" (while some portions are older, the bible in any united form is under 2,000 years old) and "the Masonic knowledge that pre-dated ancient Egypt" (most believe the Freemasons were founded in 1600AD, the egyptian kingdom began in roughly 3000BC. 4600 years? who's counting)

I obviously do not dispute the importance and relevance of frequencies in general. The musical frequencies mentioned in the movie do not make any sense in the way described in the movie. Maybe there are some mystical powers to those frequencies, but they span much longer an octave and do not form anything remotely resembling a scale (repeatability in any octave is a fundamental property of scales). I do not see any concievable way for a musician to retune a common instrument to "play and experiment" with these tones.

I transcribed that speech about DNA. It's not even coherent. It's not that I, or anyone else, doesn't get it. There is nothing to get. (BTW - carbon dating is the process of finding the approximate age of a sample by analyzing the proportions of different carbon isotopes, some of which, like C14, are unstable. C14 decays into C12 at a well known rate, so using simple exponential formulas and known half-life times you cann find out how far along in the decay process it is.)
Code: Select all

ron saykally dept chairman of chemistry UC berkely (who still doesn't exist) showed that DNA acts as an antenna for cellular upregulation, the primary function they taught us, about what DNA is about its a reciever andtransmitter of photons, light, and phonons, sound, for what? cellular upregulation. meaning that there are water molecules the pyramid power around the dna spiral energizing strands are taking in the spiritual energy of love vibrations and sending it out for manifesting, precipitating in a quantum field that physical manner of the body.
me saying the movie sucks does not mean that i claim that every topic mentioned by the movie is complete bullshit. it touches on some interesting topics, but they are handled in superficially and sensationally. the movie contributes little of interest to me. i shared that opinion with spacehead, another contributing member of this forum, and he seemed to agree.

Gregg Braden is just as much of a douche bag as Greg Braden.

more importantly, can you name which grateful dead song contains a line about the sun and the sky switching colors? can you also name the song in which the narrator pleads for his life in the chorus? should be easy for a head from canada...
