New Orleans Jazz Fest

I have crawled back from under my rock... Spent two weeks out of the country and returned back to the good 'ol U.S. just last Tuesday. Met my dear wife in New Orleans and spent last week-end at the Jazz fest. GREAT STUFF!
Over the week-end we saw O.A.R., Dr. John, Elvis Costello with Allen Toussaint, Irma Thomas, Little Freddie King, among many, many others.
Not your typical "Dead" festival but a blast none-the-less.
If you have a free week-end next week CHECK IT OUT.
There were a few "Dead" momements... The Electrifying Crown Seekers performed "We Bid You Goodnight" - Elvis sounded like he was about to bust out "Brokedown" but it was just a tease...
Next week-end looks to be another stellar set of shows.. Stay away from the mainstream acts as you can see them anytime.....Check it out if near by or interested.

Phil

SS,
Did you get any of that crawfish bread??? Man o man...
Wish I could have swung the trip for the second week-end. The family has that nasty habit of eating... I've got to keep the groceries on the table.
I found a picture in the Times Picyune (SP) website of a lady having a good time... I am in the background, with the bottom of a miller light pointing toward the sky... The best part... I am wearing my RUKIND shirt in the picture....
PEACE,
Phil
