I know for as long as i remember I've loved ragtime and only recently did i go out to try to learn it. I came across this site which is AMAZING. they have every song recorded and exact tablature of it as well, with detailed explanation on the fingering rhythm, etc etc.

just wanted to put it out there for anyone interested, it really helps your playing as a whole too, you gotta think melody and bass together which proved to be hard alot of times

I have a CD of someone playing Scott Joplin songs on guitar...I think this cat named Giovanni DeChiaro played on it.

Ragtime is a rather difficult endeavor on piano, let alone guitar. I wonder if Stanley Jordan ever recorded any. He almost certainly was influenced by it on some level.

I used to be able to play Maple Leaf Rag damn near flawlessly. I am sure I couldn't even begin to play it now. Very difficult.

Dave Van Ronk did some great ragtime numbers both solo and with the Ragtime Jug Stompers. Definitely worth checking out.
