4/20 is still bullshit though.

i got a buddy who went to orange beach for the weekend (widespread) and another who went to athens for the disco biscuits. I was lucky enough to see a jazz/r&b band at work, but it was still work.

at least I got sunday off, im going 420fest at chandler park, the nocturnals are playing I think. Last Waltz played today...

how is 420 bullshit?

i almost went to p groove in buffalo and badfish (sublime tribute) in albany,but i would need to drive home from both seeing as how it's a sunday.

I'll be seeing Santana/DTB in Atlanta this coming weekend. Honestly, I'm more stoked about Derek. I think Carlos should be opening for him. The only real drawback is the venue - Chastain Park. Noise ordinance, curfew, cocktail crowd, etc. But I'll be there.

the whole afternoon began with me, my roommate, my sister and her friend, and a good friend of mine who is a burmese refugee. we all went and visited a burmese buhddist monastery for political reasons. theeen we made it downtown to the lincoln park zoo in chicago and the derek trucks band was supposed to play the free 420 earth day show.. TURNS OUTTT... they cancelled, so Bill Kreutzmann (Grateful Dead), Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers),
and Scott Murawski (Max Creek) played!!! played a killer eyes of the world and bertha, i missed the rest of the show though.. THEN we drove to the aragon to see mars volta... overall it was a pretty long and crazy day, ended up fighting my roommate SUPER drunk and making a fool of myself at ihop... we pretty much had to leave and take our food with us.. lol.. good times

bicycle day is fantastic. i actually had a more bizarre bicycle day than i did 4/20, we did about a 14 mile ride, of course honoring hofmann's unique spacecycle method. it was great, but i was a bit disapointed that no one turned into a witch.

so they wouldnt have played if derek was there?

4-20 might not have significance, but 4-19 does it is BICYCLE day i hope everyone celebrated the day that Albert Hoffman ingested the first dose of LSD-25. The time that he ingested this historic 250 mic dose was 4:20 he then rode his bicycle home, the rest is history!
