The 5/8/77 funky walk up, walk down jam

This show is hot (as we all know) and in it I notice this funky walk up, then walk down jam they do. The cool thing about this is that after it, they go back into the main riff of the song to bring it back home.
Does anyone know what chords are played here?

I wanted to do Jerry's intro lick for this version, then I'll try what you're looking for.
--A--
E--5-7-5----------5-------------------5-------
B---8---8-7-5-----5-------------5-----5-------
G------------7-5b----6-5-6-7-6-7---5b---------
D---------------------------------------------
A---------------------------------------------
E---------------------------------------------
I bend the 5 on the G (5b) cause neither the 5 or the 6 sounds right. An "awakening" third sounds about right.

OK-
This is very much open to comments and criticism. The naming of the shapes and the shapes themselves may be wrong, but this is how I here this progression:
All chords are 7th's (except the first and very last) and all 7th's are the same triad shape moving up and down the neck
--A---A-Ab-G-Gb-----[F(8X)]
E-5---9--8-7--6-6-6--5-5-5------
B-5---8--7-6--5-5-5--4-4-4------
G-6---9--8-7--6-6-6--5-5-5------
D-7-----------------------------
**
--A-Ab-G-Gb---(4X)
E-9--8-7--6-6-6-----
B-8--7-6--5-5-5-----
G-9--8-7--6-6-6-----
--B--Bb-A-Ab-----C#-C--B--Bb
E-11-10-9-8-8-8--13-12-11-10-10-10------
B-10--9-8-7-7-7--12-11-10--9--9--9------
G-11-10-9-8-8-8--13-12-11-10-10-10------
--A-Ab-G-Gb--
E-9--8-7--6-6-6-----
B-8--7-6--5-5-5-----
G-9--8-7--6-6-6-----
---C#--Bb-B--Ab
E--13--10-11--8-8-8-------
B--12---9-10--7-7-7-------
G--13--10-11--8-8-8-------
---B--Ab-A-Gb------[F(8X)]
E--11--8-9--6-6-6--5-5-5---
B--10--7-8--5-5-5--4-4-4---
G--11--8-9--6-6-6--5-5-5---
Then it repeats from the ** to the below F instead of the one directly above.
--F-Gb-G-Ab-A----A
E-5-6--7--8--9---5----
B-4-5--6--7--8---5----
G-5-6--7--8--9---6----
OK - What da ya think?

When you say repeat 8 times, do you mean just the F or the the whole run.
I think in the 5/8/77 version they hang on that F for 8 and then do a little Ab~Bb Ab kick at the end of the phrase. I think its different in other versions.

Yea, sorry for the lack of clarity. It's just the F that gets the 8.
Sorry.
