i got out of the service in 1987 and followed the dead. till 95, and 10 years later and 4 kids ......

hey man, Pops may be gone but take a look around at what our ol' man created.
Almost all of the jambands came along because of him. Music festivals are mainly jambands. You could say Jerrys responsible for 10k lakes, Waka, Bonaroo, etc.
People still carry out his good vibes. Whenever you see an old grey haired hippie playing guitar on the sidewalk for some change, flip him a coin, because you know his life was somehow affected by Jerry.
Most important, though...
Jerry taught us that gate crashers do indeed suck.
