Dont know if anyone here likes them, but has anyone seen them recently? I have tix for tuesday in NYC and wanna know how they are doing..

A fine band indeed. Never seen them live. But I'm sure you'll have a great time.
Chris Robinson has just produced the wonderful new album called Vagabonds by former Jayhawks lead guitarist and songwriter Gary Louris.

I've seen em a few times. Great band. The two guitar players( they differ thru the years) definitely have a kind of Stones/Allmans thing going on.Chris Robinson IMO is the best singer of the current bands. Great energy and a great soulness to his delivery.
Throw in the back up singers, and sometimes you get goosebumps!

Yeah man, these guy's are a greate band live.
I've seen them twice now, and both times I was not disapointed.
I think Chris R. is a alien, he keeps getting Skinnier and Skinnier.
Or maybe its just all the drugs. lol
Good Band, you will enjoy it.

Never seen them either.
Do they do any Zep?
Thought it was a stroke of genius -them backing up Jim Page.Maybe they kept some Zep in the setlist?
Dude sings up a storm.
I like how they pull off the 70s sound (Rod Stewart/Stonesy thing) and still sound new and fresh.
Plus they keep the guitars right where they should be in rock band - out front and in yer face.

saw them at jones beach last summer, it was great. they rocked harrd the whole time andd did some unexpected jams. like an 18 minute hard to handle with some weird spaciness in the middle, didnt expect that much jam out of them. robinson's energy is just great. real good time.

A few years ago, a band I was playing in performed at SXSW in Austin. We opened up for Rich Robinson's band at the time Hookah Brown.
Watching him play from the stage vantage point I realized just how talented a guitar player he is. Highly recommend zeroing in on him during the show, just a fantastic, rockin' rootsy player.
Him and his bro have had a volatile relationship at times but it is always great to catch them on tour when they are getting along as it appears they are now.
