im thinking about gettin a mandolin cause it sounds cool in all the grateful dawg stuff... any suggestions on what to look for?

I got into the mandolin after falling in love with Jones' parts in some Zepp songs.

If you have the money to spend? Get an 'F' style mandolin, they have the nicest sound, but they come at a price. Try playing the Fender f-style.

If your money is tight, the 'A' style mandolins still have that awesome sound and come at a cheaper price. Try finding one with a pickup if you play in a band.
