Masons is a tough one to nail, what with ya gotta sing off-key harmonies to get it close to the original....

That is a sublime and very pretty Stella.

You guys recorded that at a gig? Mind sharing what you used to capture it?

thanks for the kind comments...I tried very hard to not hit all the harmonies on Mason's but my lead singer seemed to think it was better if i sang on key!

when i was doing the mixdown I was so happy with the Stella from that show I couldn't wait to get it on the website..great singing, smoking leads and the band plays with such nice dynamics IMHO

we record almost all our shows to a multi track digital recorder directly feed from the main mixer(use about 8 channels because the drums are sub mixed from stage), then mixed down and burned to CD..if you need more info I have to ask our drummer/soundman.

Pat, if you're talking about the verse solo, I'm using a Sountank Digital Delay and a Boss Distortion/Overdrive pedal. I play a 1991 American Standard Fender Stratocaster with Seymour Duncan rails on the neck & center and a Seymour Duncan mini-humbucker on the bridge. The amp is a 1993 Fender Blues DeVille 4x10. I keep my reverb up to about 8. If you're talking about the solo at the end of the song, I'm using the delay and a clean sound on the bridge pickup.

Thanks for listening!!

thanks..a bunch of rukindheads took time to listen to our tunes...(as suggested by the unusually high number of hits our site had today!)
