New band name ideas?

Ok - so I finally have another band put together and we are going through the impossible task of coming up with a name. Anyone have suggestions?

We are a Dead tribute - so we're going for a name recognizable by deadheads.

Thanks!

Peace,

Mike

The Faster We Go the Rounder We Get

The Other (# of you there are in the band)

Touch of the Blues

Dragons with Matches

all terrible names, just go with a "long strange trip" reference. everyone will groan at the over used reference but it'll be painfully obvious what you're playing

New Tomatoe Caboose

Birds of Paradise

Althea's Garden

Thorns and Roses

I don't know, just randoms off the top of my head, man! Have fun with the name, let it make people laugh! They will be associating it with good times anyway!

That was the name of the band Keith and Donna started after they departed the Grateful Dead.

How about Mason's Children.

Our keyboard player thought we should re-name ourselves, "Better Weather." I like it a lot...don't know if we're ever gonna do it, or not...but....

From Dark Star-
Glass Hand (think of the cool stickers)
Clouds Of Delusion ( kind of pompous sounding)
From Greatest Story-
Water Witch (too Norwegian Death Metal)
From ChinaCat
Violin River ( kinda old timey)
if you are a "gay" Dead cover band you could be-
Queen Chinee-BINGO!
Just kidding!
I really like PappyPitts old band name Double Dose.

HAHAH!!! That's funny, TJedi!! I always HATED that name! Origin of how it came to be (why not, we're not busy @ work...):

So, it's our first gig. I've just met Michael, the lead guitarist the night before (who eventually became my musical partner of 10+ years and one of my very best friends). His brother Jon (whom I'd been teaching how to play guitar) & I were out visiting to sit in with Michael's old band from high school who were reuniting to play this party. Now they add the dynamic of me on electric rhythm and Jon on acoustic rhythm (although unbenounced to Jon, his playing was only being projected through the monitors, 'cause he kinda sucked... ), We're all onstage after rehearsing for the first time the night before and we're about to start when the keyboard player, Rich, asks, "What are we gonna call ourselves?" We're all suggesting this & that, then the drummer, Mike shouts out, "Double Dose!" Michael (guitar) goes right up to his mic & says, "Hey folks! We're Double Dose" before I could yell, "NOOOOOO!!!!" It stuck and so did we....hehe.

We were going to re-name that band after about 7 years of being together....it came down to 2 choices:
Suede Potato (I thought the logo possibilties were endless) and keeping Double Dose. We chose the latter.
