I just purchased a Box Set of the famous Veneta Field Trip Show, because I knew that the the music is first class Dead and because this Box is so rare in Europe.
Actually I've never seen it before.
What I want to know is have you seen it before or do you have it yourself? Cause my brother told me that it may be fake since you can download the show everywhere xD

PS I spent quite a lot on it, normally I wouldn't pay that much (more than 20 bucks)

you got ripped off, no legit box set of that has been released as far as i know. its probably just a nicely done bootleg

yeah man, you can see a lot of it on youtube. i think i may have a copy i downloaded off of a P2P network or something, but maybe not. i know a few people on this board have bootleg copies. i think we have should a vine or something for some bootleg dvd's. any opinions on that one?

I knew that it is easy to download I just wanted a nice vintage original box of it...
But yeah I looked through all the official releases and didn't find anything, so I think I'll have to talk to that seller since I haven't paid yet. I wonder what he'll say, I'm pretty sure he doesn't know it himself

Oh I wouldn't think of it as a rip off really. Even if you can DL that show, there's still the thing of the artifact. The packaging and story behind it (and the Sugar Free is hilarious) make it worth the twenty or so you spent. How many people here have every book and mag on the Dead they can get hold of? You have something along the line of homemade tye-dies or stickers from the shows. Cool I think.
If you got the package in good condition I think you give the seller good feedback letting him know you dug the homemade vibe of the bootleg.

I would not think of that as a rip off, I'd like to have it. I'm still pissed that I lost my 'For the Faithful' LP's. Never felt riped off by that, even though I bought Reckoning right after, might have even been the same week...

I wouldn't recommend buying it. Back in the day, it was a major no-no to pay for bootlegs. Other than to maybe give a buck or two to compensate for the tape. $20 is kinda high for nothing that you can get for free.

Give me your snail mail address and I'll burn you a copy for nothing. Money saved and karma increased. :)

For some $20 is well worth it. For others it's a scam.

You already bought it so enjoy it. Most of us over 30 here have probably bought "imports" priced higher than $20 15 years back.

DLing takes time and resources and to get the nice package you have there would take you no less than $7 in material and an hour or two making the covers, etc.
