A discussion that is unsettled in our family is that on the last track of Rockin' the Rhein, "One More Saturday Night", Bob says "This is our new single ________________". I can't for the life of me figure out what he says in the blank there, but my wife says he says something (that I don't want to post just yet, don't want to lead the witnesses, if any) that IMO is nonsense. At first I thought that the tape master must have gotten messed up there, but I don't hear anything unusual in the guitar riff playing in the background. Does anybody know what he says there?

I don't know what he says there, on an other occasion I heard him say ...So everybody run out and pick it up

Interesting responses. My wife thinks he says "This is our new single if you want to ride by it." I say this doesn't make any sense, but it is close to "...ride black" as Dozin heard. I think it sounds like he was going to say "This is our new single if you want to run out and buy it." or something similar (like what St. Stephen posted), and that he just messed it up. Based on the way they say "Alf Vederzein" (no idea how to spell that one) at the end, I assume this track was either from the end of the second set or that it was the encore at one of the shows (I am sure I could look that up if I tried, chalk that up to laziness), so fatigue could have been a factor making it easy to get a little tongue tied. Just a theory.

since the show is in Germany and I know showes where the boys talk german....like in the break they say " 10 Minuten Pause", quite hilarious

could be possible but i didn't catch anything like that, sounds like he was just kinda ytrying to finish his phrase before he started jamming, and got tongue tied. In the words of Jimi "who knows? I dont know, they dont know."

He still comes off remarkeably more eloquent than the current moron in charge of our country.

BTW, should I get that album? I mean it was in Germany so it's special for me but apart from that the setlist doesn't seem so extraordinary, maybe the DS>Me and My Uncle>DS ( I really dig these), and the Black Throated Wind, the rest is normal for 72....
