Does anyone know the effect that is used at around the 19 second mark on the Studio version of Victim or the Crime?

It is the sound that sort of emmulates, gosh, rain falling, or, crap, i don't know how to explain it.

I'm figuring it is someting from Jer's midi set up.

I haven't listened to the link, but I know exactly what you are talking about and it's not an effect per se, but a MIDI patch, which was also used live quite a bit... and transitioned into Andean pipes.... followed by Slap Bass...

the sound is sort of like a "rain stick".

you hear a lot of it during the 90's. 10-16-90 had if during dstar....etc..
