Ok after a fairly long drought of good shows to the Columbus, Oh area we're going to have a good month in February '08. On Tap are:

1. Moe
2. Indigo Girls
3. Dark Star Orchestra
4. Yonder Mountain String Band

I've already got tickets to see DSO and just ordered my YMSB tickets. I've seen Moe and they're good. If you had to choose between Moe and Indigo Girls which would you choose and why?

Take it easy

I'm a certified Moe.ron, so my opinion is biased.
I'd go with Moe.

I know very little about the Indigo Girls, but I have seen moe and did not like them.

Out of musical curiousity I'd say Indigo Girls, should be some decent folk music if nothing else. If you are more concerned about a parking lot scene and doing drugs and shit you probably better off with moe.

Edit: PS - you made the two important decisions with DSO and yonder

A friend of mine use to call the Indigo Girls the "Blue Dykes". I use to be into them pretty heavy when the first hit it big. I saw them perform a few tunes at the 20th anniversary of Earth day on the mall in D.C. in 1990 I think. Michael Stipe was there and still had hair. Let's see who else was there? John Denver, Tom Cruise, Bruce Hornsby, Natalie Merchant.

Saw Moe and they did absolutely nothing that impressed me as a band .... individually they are great musicians but they just seemed loud to me with no dynamics at all .... boring, I left early and I have NEVER done that before in literally hundreds of shows I have attended over the past 25 years

ok to give moe some credit (for once) i will agree with this

YMSB, for sure, best live band I have ever seen outside. These guy's love music and there fans way to much.

One of the best shows I've ever seen for sure.
