someone told me a satelite radio station is carrying the concert, is this true? i have xm which has a zeppelin channel so i'd hope they have it. hopefully someone has it though

That would be cool. I put myself in the lottery for tickets. Probably would've cost me $2000 to fly there and see them, but I would've paid it. I'm a huge Zepp fan. Listening to it would be the next best thing I guess. I'm sure a torrent will pop up somewhere after the show.

Given they are about 6 hrs. ahead of us over there, it should be going on as I write this. I wish them the best of luck. Part of me wants to see them tour and part of me wants to just think of them the way they were in 1973. Rock Gods of the Universe!

Thought the Black Crows thing was cool.But he had another (or 2 ?) guitar guys with him.
If Zep tries to go at it without extra help,their going down. :( Put J.P.Jones on keys;bring in a bass guy and another guitar.
I saw him on tv a couple of years ago and Page was sloppy bad.
Heard Page "broke" his finger and said concerts were rescheduled a couple of weeks.
Yeah right.
He knows hes in trouble and hes trying to buy time.
What do think?

I'd have to agree Tenneessee.

I saw Page many years ago as part of Yardbirds reunion kind of thing......and I thought the same thing......very sloppy.

Although.....if they did tour (to which RP says no), I'd pay homage and go see them.

I'm a huge Zeppelin fan but I can't imagine them being any good today, hell they kind of lost it after "Zoso" with Page's voice sounding all girly like every other hard/heavy metal singer. I'm just ranting. Long live Led Zeppelin .

I've always thought his soloing was a bit sloppy throughout his career, listen to the heartbreaker solo, the picking's all off beat for the second half of it.
On a more positive side, I think Jimi Page, let alone all of Led Zepplin were great composers and musicians. The progressions they did like in The Ocean, Black Dog, Out on the Tiles, Good Times Bad Times are very innovative and interesting. Overall though, I like their acoustic stuff better. Gallows Pole and Bron Y Aur Stomp are my two favorite songs of theirs.
Get The Led Out is a great act too, I saw them a few months ago.

By the way, have any of you guys heard that theory that all their songs have a Lord of the Rings reference? Battle of Evermore and Ramble On are 2 that work.

Definately heard that before.

I've even heard that then end of Stairway to Heaven (As we wind on down the road etc...) was mostly copped from one of Tolkien's poems...

i dont think all of their songs have tolkien references, but i know plant was a big tolkien fan. battle of evermore is great though

some may say that page is sloppy but he is a hell of an entertainer! sloppy or not his leads are creative and enjoyable.
