Web Cam Jam - Suggestions on how to

Does anyone know of a good way to jam over the web via webcam or video conferencing with minimal or no lag?
Here is the situation. My younger brother, who got me to pick up a guitar years ago, now lives in Roanoke, VA. I live in Rochester, NY. He just had his first baby a week ago, (well his wife did all the work really). So the family all bought webcams to see the newest family member. Logitech Orbit. 1.3 megapixel. Pretty cool I'd say.
With doing so, my brother and I decided to see how far technology has come and see if we could play together again, instead of the couple times we see each other a year. We downloaded Sight Speed 6.0, started up the web cam, threw some headphones on and tried it.
It works, sort of. Not much lag at all, at least i expected more delay than there was (Cable modems) but it isnt quite there.
For instance, he plays a 1-4-5, E-A-B for example, I play a lead in a scale that fits that scale, Eminor penatonic for example. Even with a split second delay, it doesnt sound bad really, but i just think it doesnt sound bad for the same fact i can hit keys on a keyboard over a chord progression that are notes in a scale, and because that scale fits the progression, it can sound like I know how to play the keys, when I clearly dont,I just know a scale.
My hope is somebody has tryied this and found a program that works. Im not so worried about the video being synced up as much as I am the audio. The video is nice because we live 9 + hours away and hardly see eachother. Plus it gives a band type of feel. At least a duo. We are mainly an acoustic act anyhow.
Sight Speed 6.0 works better than we expected to begin with, so if this is the peak of technology broadcasting simultaniously, thats cool, but I thought maybe someone else may have some suggestions. Any and all are welcome, and if you figure it out and want to horde the idea to yourself for your own gain, it was our idea first to be the first cyber rockstars! Patent is pending! HA!
