i agree, when you sing it dont sing the same town as the chord changes, sing above it... but otherwise good work

Good job, you actually have an appealing voice, nice timbre. Stick with it, make it your own, I like the way the sung melody is a little different.

I liked the guitar playing, but think you need to embrace your voice and sing. I too suck at singing, but I've found with the band that if I hold back (as it sounds like you are) it sounds worse than if I just give it my all and let it fly. Punch up your vocals and go for it!

Yeah, I think my voice just needs a fair amount of development. And when I listen to it, it def sounds like Im holding back. Every now and then I can hear glimpses of what could be. . . You know what they say, practice, practice, practice.

Exactly! Keep at it - I can hear how your voice should sound and I think with work you'll get there. Sing everywhere you go - in the shower, car, on a walk - and screw people who look at you funny. It's not your fault they're not as cool as you.

Nice job though! Glad you posted it!

2 mistakes new singers make:
1 - they sing with trepidation
2 - they sing into a cheap mic

Sing with all your heart and buy a decent mic $100 for an SM58.

Hey six, what kind of plug end does that sure mic have? I want to run into my digitech jamman and it has a weird looking mic input, here Ill post a pic.



I dont know jack about mic's so I dont know what to do with that input . . . .

Ditto. You have a unique voice. You just need to let it out with some confidence. Like you said, practice...

Did you change the melody on purpose? I like it. If you didn't, it's a pretty good "mistake".

Your voice reminds me somewhat of the singer of "Ride Captain Ride" by The Blues Image.

Knowing the limitations of my voice led me to alter the vocal melody, which I think makes it more unique. And after doing it a bunch of times, I just started hearing it differently in my head, so it started off straight up and then morphed into what it is now.

That's a standard mic input! You'll be set!

As SS said, standard mic input.....but you do know you'll need an XLR mic chord, right?

i agree that you have an interesting voice, that with some time and practice will improve
my only comment is watch out for singing the exact rhythm as your guitar strumming, now that is hard to break that tendency, but important if you are going to make your singing more interesting...
