Anyone out there have any live YES shows, or know where to get them?

Haven't listened to any for many years.

Was gonna go with the Yes Movie on the movie thread,but figured no one else was a fan.So psychedelic.Those jams are out there.

Back in the days of tapes and vhs,I had some shows.Had a vhs of the band practicing from '77 '78.Real cool.They even bantered back and forth about wearing tights on stage.Total Spinal Tap moment.

Also a Yes fan. I used to have some tapes, but nothing so far on cd. I did, however, buy the new dvd Yes live at montreaux as it totally kicks ass!! Whoever recorded it actually spends much time on Steve Howe and his hands, so as a guitar player, it's incredible. And though it was just a few years ago, the band is so so so tight and while they look old and decrepit, they play like rock gods! Highly recommended.

You figured wrong. I believe I have a few shows.

I've been into Yes for a long time... especially the Fragile/CTTE lineup, but as long as it includes Steve Howe, one of the great rock guitar improvisers of all time.

There used to be a Yes tribute group in IL called Drama, they kicked serious butt.

Count me in. Love em. Saw em 5 times.

I love 'em too. Unfortunately I only got to see them once in the 90125 days.

And that was 3 months after my first Dead show.

I do have a couple of Yes shows on tape. Good quality boards, haven't gotten around to transferring them over to cd yet. One from 1976, one from 1979.

One of the highlights of my younger years were meeting Steve Howe during a record signing for the first Asia album, and then having front row directly in front of him later that night at Painter's Mill Star Theater in Owings Mills, MD. They did a lot of Yes tunes too, so it wasn't all ASIA all night. Man is he just completely over the top phenomenal. How old was he when he debuted on The Yes Album, 20 or so? As much as I love the Dead, sorry, Jerry just wasn't even in the same universe as Howe as a player. I always wonder if guys like Steve Howe do anything else but practice, you know?

One of the coolest things about that ASIA show was that apparently Howe's wife gave birth to one of their kids back in England that night, and he got the news backstage before the encore. Anyway, he comes out super happy and smiling, and tossed my friends and I a doobie of some really killer herb. Then the tour was postponed for a couple of weeks so he could go be with his wife and new baby.

Yes goes on the list of bands I would have seen if I were alive in the 70's They looked like they put on a good show at least from the yessongs dvd (despite the awful quality). The album itself though is one of the best live recordings ever, with the exeption of GD.
I saw Steve Howe a half a year ago, he was solo on acoustic the whole time, but it was still great.
