I'd a put this in the PL forum but it ain't there.
This is probably a bit self indulgent but I thought I'd post it anyway - along with really bad singing (maybe the 2nd or 3rd try to sing & play - and it sure shows!) I think I wing a decent lead vibe. So for those who are interested - until I can sing & play it better anyway
solo was definantly good bill. sounds like a familiar seventies version to me

Bill, could you please help me with the rhythm you got going on there. Not necessarily a tab, just what you are doing with that pinkie and where the other fingers are. Even watching the video I cant figure it out! Are you just holding an E shaped barre chord? But then where is that pinkie going?

The C is the open E shape and the F & G would be the open A shape.
Technically speaking this should all be done on the down stroke - unlike what I was doing - though you don't have to - from what I know Bob is a little looser with that notion while JG would stick to it for the most part.
This is a 5th/ 6th rotation over whatever chord your playing and you can throw in the dom 7th as well. (the (15) in the G is the dom 7th and can be played there instead of the 12)
Commonly referred to as a shuffle or boogie riff - I think.
