My high E has this flat annoying buzz that happened I swear over night. I dont want to take it in because I know there are smarter individuals on here that could give me an idea on how to fix it myself by tomorrow. Thank you very much.

It is possible that something came outta whack overnight but that is more likely caused by climate change impacting your guitar. It may need a neck adjustment of sorts.

like an electric buzz, or when you strum it it like touches the fret buzz?

my old shitty guitar did that.. is your guitar shitty, cuz u may need a new guitar altogether, otherwise i pose the same question as spacehead... electric buzz or ya like hitting the fret like... dink and not makin much noise

no its a taylor big baby and probably the nicest guitar i have owned. its the kind where it hits the fret.

gumbo, an easy way to fix that is to fold up a tiny piece of a paper into a pretty thick tiny wad, and put it under the string above the nut. If you do it right you wont be able to see the paper, and it will raise the string up further so it doesn't rub against the fret. The high E tends to grind down the nut and it happens sometime. My fix is easier than taking it to a shop and getting the whole nut replaced

try new strings first...get the action raised in the future...if something so minor happened just overnight and it buzzes, it can stand to be raised and you will gain more tone anyway..but yeah try new strings..if the action is that low if your strings wear in like a mm indent they will lay that much lower when fretted and maybe buzz...

I wouldn't reccomend the "paper under the string" fix. You may do that to diagnose you problem. I would reccomend getting it fixed properly by a pro since you have a nice Taylor.

Certainly trying new string wont hurt. You can leave them uncut so that if your luthier needs to take the strings off you wont have to buy another set of new ones.

unless you are an experienced guitar tech, take it in. most times the strings you have on the guitar when you buy it are set up for the action as is. if you change strings or the guage it will affect the action and you will need to have it re fitted...try and use the same strings all the time....also, you e string could be a dud, i have had that happen to me...
