Schmuck was all freaked out because I was selling mp3s.He ranted and raved about how he "paid" for the productions, blah blah. Threatened to have his "lawyers" get me. So I emailed him back with a full accounting of all the mp3s I sold. I made a mint. A whopping $12.90. $1.98 of which the jerk off was actually associated with. Now I have known this guy for 35 fucking years, and I called him on even thinking I would rip him off. He said, and I quote... (Hold on. I am going to get it and copy and paste this part. It is fucking classic.) He said, "I don't think you would rip me off, BUT you would be the person who would never say anything, like it never happened." ...And then he proceeded to get back to his rap about how he "paid" for everything.

Anyway. I told the prick to fuck off and deleted every trace of anything I have ever done with him. Even recorded two raw acoustic versions of songs he produced so I could swap out the mp3 files at my OMD. I also let him know that he will never have my signature as songwriter, publisher, and copyright owner on ANY license agreement for any of those productions EVER. I would turn down $1,000,000 feature film license based on pure fucking principal alone just to make sure this bastard never makes a nickel off my songs.

What a dick. Unless he really deserved his share. Then you're a dick. But I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. I hate that phrase but it applies in this case.

His share of $1.98? I'm gonna send him a check. And then I am going to send him a check for $0.00 every quarter from now to the end of fucking eternity. I will never even play those recordings for other musicians when I meet and jam with new bands. That shit is flushed.

First of all what has happened has happened .. be gald he showed you what a dick he was before it actually really mattered .... I mean 1.98 ... then be positive with yourself and don't waste any energy getting caught up in his negative world of self pity .... just keep on keeping on and never give it a second thought ...
