I finally uploaded a performance vid of my own on youtube. Been meaning to do this for a while. You're forwarned - my singing's a bit rough. Especially those high notes on this one
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDiuH5NFPsg
For some reason I couldn't find this searching the tag terms. Maybe there's a lag since I just posted it? More likely I just don't know wtf I'm doing.

sounds good! vocals arent bad at all, and i was digging your playing. some of those fills before the E chord were pretty creative, and the solo sounded awesome particular for being done without any backing. makes me think you could really kick some ass if someone was comping you
and i couldnt find it in the search either. gave you a rating and a comment in case that helps

I'm impressed. That was excellent. It was so good, I almost forgot for a second that you're a Rangers fan. ;)
Your voice is good, much better than jdarks. I subscribed to the billbbill channel, so I hope I see more.

I hope you're enjoying bizarro world - Flyers in 1st and Rangers in last.

Yea I think I'm finally getting set up and a grip on the technical aspects of this stuff. Strangely the 'instructional' stuff is more difficult to pull off than just playin a tune. Well maybe that's not so strange. The vid still doesn't come up when you search my user name or a tag term.
Don't know what's up with that.
btw - love your yt user name

Viceroy - Thanks - and as for Jagr a line from the movie War Games comes to mind - "I'd piss on a sparkplug if I thought it'd help"
Ronster, Ronster , Ronster - You had me rollin - 2 pea's in a pod eh? Next year when my wife and I take our annual (will be the 4th year) trip to camden yards to see the yanks-orioles I'll have to look you up.
btw that's a taylor though they sure sound like martins, don't they?
Strummin - Thanks - the timing during the lead was a little uneven, no? I played along afterward as well.
I've used a variety of methods for video. This is the first time I used my macbook with the built in isight camera. I edited with imovie. Exporting and formating for youtube was a little bit tial and error and I'm not entirely pleased with the quality of the outcome but it's a start.
I've got some instructional jack straw stuff done that should be up on this site soon where I used a canon camcorder hooked up to my pc as was the method for the west la fadeaway and china cat vids. I believe all the others were done with the vid function on my panasonic digicam hooked up to my pc.
I've edited with both pinnacle studio and windows movie maker.
I'll pm you with more info.

Thanks. I want to learn this tune with some variety. I always get stuck doing the same thing over and over in this tune/using the same riffs all the time, so I get bored with it and stop playing it. Same thing with "Fire"...those damn 2 chord tunes. I'm just not at a point yet where I can come up with enough shit of my own.
You did a mighty fine job Bilbbill!

Yes the lead did slow down slightly and it sounded like you tried once or twice to get back to speed and then just accepted it and then it sounded more natural.
Overall the notes sounded great and the feel was there!
Impressive!
