I haven't been to many big shows on the "scene", aside from maybe Gov't Mule, but that was at a small local club (5 feet from Warren Haynes!). Anyways, I am going to DSO at the Fillmore tommorow, the show starts at 8 and the doors open at 7. I believe there is this "Black Tie-Dye Ball" before the show, which might change things, but my question is: "when should I show up?" It says the tickets are General Admission. I have no idea how early I should get there.

Many of you are veterans of this sort of thing and I thought maybe I could get some advise.

Whenever I do DSO, they always have the whole parkinglot scene going on, so I'll show up an hour or two before doors open just to "take stuff in"

...or you could arrive about halfway through the first set.

im always the first one there.... ill sleep on the streets for dso

If it's a stadium show - all day in the lot!!!

If it's at a large bar or medium sized venue I historically show up 1 hour before doors open to hang out.

But I'll be sure something exists for me to chill out with:
- lot scene w/good weather
- local bar
- etc...

i show up an hour or so early, if security is tight start the party outside the venue then go in
