Grateful Dead Music Forum

Well, it's finally here. i will be hosting my first Grateful Dead Hour tonight (it's actually 2 hours). you can stream from www.kruiradio.org from 5-7 pm. i put a lot of thought into the set list and i think its really great. here it is. . .

First 40 minutes or so will be all acoustic Dead from 1970:

Truckin' (9-20-70)
Deep Elem Blues(9-20-70)
Big Railroad Blues (9-20-70)
Friend of the Devil (5-15-70)
Candy Man (5-15-70)
I Know You Rider (5-15-70)
Wake Up Little Susie (from Bear's Choice)

-i think the acoustic Truckin and I Know You Rider are real gems.

the second part of the show will be electric, with stuff ranging from 1969 to 1973, in chronological order, here it is. . .

Morning Dew (2-28-69)
The Main Ten -> Sugar Magnolia (6-7-70)
Here Comes Sunshine (DP1)
China Cat -> Rider (5-26-73)
Eyes of the World (11-11-73)

-some of my favorites there, and if you havn't heard that Main Ten -> Sugar you should really check that out. well, give me your thoughts on the setlist or whatever, and if you can, listen to the show and let me know what you think. thanks.

Is the acoustic Big RR with Grisman?

nope, but David Nelson is on the banjo for that Big Railroad Blues, and Jerry sounds real good in this performance.

dude this sounds totally awesome. I wish CU had something like this. You need to tell every time you have this, especially since they just canceled the Grateful dead hour in Denver.
